Our Team

 

Bill Rankel

 

Bill is a seasoned Series 27 Financial and Operational Principal and has serviced many broker-dealers in that capacity. He also has 25+ years of financial services experience with concentrations in the broker-dealer and hedge fund spaces.

 

Bill’s prior experience includes serving as Accounting Manager for a regional broker-dealer where he had primary responsibility for the preparation of its financial statements, net capital computations, FOCUS reporting and external audit and income tax preparation liaison. He later was the Chief Financial and Operations Officer for a multi-billion dollar (AUM) hedge fund followed by stints as both Financial and Operations Principal for broker-dealers and as a Consultant to the industry.

 

Bill received his BBA from Baruch College and an MBA in Finance from St. John’s University.

Kristina has over 25 years of accounting and tax experience, the majority of which is in the financial services industry.  She is experienced both as a third-party service provider as well as an in-house professional. 

 

Kristina’s introduction to the financial services industry began at a Big Four public accounting firm.  She then joined Pat Marron at his boutique provider of services to broker-dealers and hedge funds where she managed the accounting and reporting for several broker-dealers and hedge funds, serving as the Series 28 Introducing Broker-Dealer Financial and Operations Principal for many of these firms.  During this time, she became well versed with the pertinent regulatory and reporting issues relevant to the securities industry.  She has also served as CFO of two hedge funds and has consulted within the financial services sector. 

 

Kristina earned both her BS and MBA degrees in accounting from Fordham University.  She also holds a New York State CPA license.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Pat Marron

 

Pat acts as team leader and services coordinator. He has 25+ years of financial services experience and has served as Series 27 Financial and Operational Principal for several dozen securities broker-dealers. He is familiar with all aspects of the securities business with particular expertise in regulatory, accounting, reporting and financial responsibility compliance matters.

 

Pat’s experience includes 8 years in public accounting at a Big Four firm where he devoted himself largely to broker-dealer clients; a multi-year stint as the Controller for a regional broker-dealer; a partnership position at a hedge fund managing accounting, reporting, operations and income tax compliance; founding and building a firm devoted to servicing both broker-dealers and hedge funds which he grew to servicing dozens of broker-dealers and hundreds of hedge funds before selling to a now-public company. Over the last several years, Pat has stepped away from the hedge fund industry and has returned to exclusively servicing securities broker-dealers.

 

Pat received his B.S. in Accounting from Manhattan College and obtained his CPA license from New York State.
